Maxion İnci Wheel Group makes a difference in commercial vehicle wheels with its two new investments. While increasing its steel truck wheel capacity with its newest and second truck steel wheels plant that will start mass production, Maxion İnci Wheel Group makes another strategic move and invest in Manisa Organized Industrial Park to produce forged aluminum wheels.
Maxion İnci Wheel Group, the joint venture of İnci Holding and Maxion Wheels, the world's largest wheel manufacturer, announced its two significant strategic investments in Manisa OIP at the IAA Transportation fair. Mustafa Zaim, President of the Board of Directors of Maxion İnci and Maxion Jantaş, and Pieter Klinkers, CEO of Maxion Wheels, shared investment details at the IAA Transportation trade fair.
Maxion İnci Wheel Group's newest and second commercial vehicle wheel plant which laid its foundations in 2019 and has state-of-the-art technology, starts mass production.
After the plant of Maxion Jantaş which manufactures steel wheels for heavy and commercial vehicles reached its full capacity due to increasing demand, the second truck steel wheel plant which the Group decided to establish in 2019, is starting mass production.
Maxion İnci Wheel Group's new plant is built on a total area of 21.000 square meters, 18,000 square meters of which is a closed area. The plant is equipped with state-of-the-art production technologies and has an advanced degree of automation. Following the deployment of the plant, the total heavy and commercial vehicle wheel capacity will reach 3 million wheels and the total annual wheel capacity installed in Manisa will exceed 12 million.
Mustafa Zaim, President of the Board of Directors of Maxion İnci and Maxion Jantaş, delivered a speech and stated: "It is a source of great pride for us that our second heavy and commercial vehicle steel wheel plant, which will play an important role in contributing to the Turkish economy, especially in Manisa and the Aegean Region, will start mass production in October 2022. In line with the investment we have made to meet the increasing customer demands of the growing market, we expect the plant equipped with state-of-the-art production technologies to generate additional sales of USD 60 Million and achieve additional exports of USD 50 Million. We will further strengthen our leadership position as the largest heavy and commercial vehicle wheel manufacturer in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Near East."
Maxion İnci Wheel Group starts to manufacture forged aluminum heavy and commercial vehicle wheels with its new huge investment
The Group makes investments in its 6th plant in the same region, which will be built in 45,000 square meters in Manisa OIP. The Group will manufacture forged aluminum wheels for heavy vehicles in this new plant. The new plant is planned to operate in the last quarter of 2024 after all phases are completed, it is expected that nearly 500 job opportunities will be created and the plant will achieve USD 60 million.
Mustafa Zaim, President of the Board of Directors of Maxion İnci and Maxion Jantaş, talked about the investments of the 6th plant and said: "You can probably know how excited we are to add forged aluminum truck wheels to our product portfolio due to the demand from our customers in the commercial and heavy vehicle group through our 6th plant in Manisa OIP, which we will lay the foundation next month and plan to become operational in 2024. The total investment amount for our new steel truck wheel plant in Manisa, which will start to operate next month, and our new aluminum forged truck wheel plant will be USD 150 million."
